After one year, the UV strength emitted from the bulb will begin to weaken, allowing harmful bacteria to populate inside your water supply. Don’t be caught with dangerous, murky water. Replace your bulbs once annually to continue safe and efficient UV sterilization.
UV bulbs will emit at least 80% of their original UV-C strength at the end of one year. That’s why we recommend removing and replacing UV bulbs annually as part of preventative maintenance.
