These long, thin bulbs come in both 2 ft and 4 ft lengths, typically in a daylight spectrum. Because of their thin width many bulbs can be lined up side-by side in a single fixture that produces very little heat. Fixtures come in 2 bulb through 12 bulb widths, and are terrific for lighting rectangular beds, such as in our SpaceSaver system. They can also be hung sideways for side-lighting of tall plants.
This is the standard-bearer in the indoor growing industry. They are appreciated for their ability to light deeply into the canopy of tall plants through all the various stages of growth. The components for HID fixtures (ballast, reflector, bulbs, cord and socket set) are typically purchased individually. We turned to Inda-Gro for our induction lighting offering, and have been thrilled with how the plants in our show room have responded to this fascinating technology. Originally invented in 1891 by Nikola Tesla, induction lamps have always been prized for their high lumens per watt, low operating temperatures, and long lamp life. Inda-Gro’s lamps have affordably combined the proven benefits of this technology with the unique spectral requirements so essential for robust plant development.
