I’m so glad that the world of aquaponics is finally catching on. Our world needs a better solution for agriculture before we run out of resources. Aquaponics is definitely the best way to grow. I wish you guys much success this year.

Hi Jim. Glenn is an awesome guy, isn’t he? I’m jealous that you could spend the day with him building systems! You will enjoy Charlie’s TEDx talk – he does a great job representing aquaponics. I hope you manage to get into TEDx Maui with an aquaponics talk! I just send an email to TEDx Boulder yesterday, as a matter of fact.

Having just come home ftom a day at the first TEDxMaui and read your newsletter, I had to say that I got rid of the tv side of my cable awhile ago. Since about June of 2011, I have whatched every video I could find & still finding on aquaponics. As a result I have a few small homade systems in my backyard and recently helped Glenn Martinez of Olomana Gardens build a system for Lokelani Ohana on Maui.
While at the TEDxMaui, I kept thinking about aquaponics as one of the talks. I had searched TED the other day and didn’t see any.
Thanks for sharing your finds and I will pass them on to others at Tuesday’S Hawaii Farmers Union United meeting and others from TEDxMaui that I spoke with today. Would love to see an aquaponics TEDx style meeting on Maui soon.

Good for you/family turning off tube Sylvia. We cancelled cable back in May – no regrets. I still don’t have enough time to read / watch all I want to on Internet & other sources about aquaponics!

Jeanne, my best advice is to join the Aquaponic Gardening Community and then search for other aquaponic gardeners in your area. I hope you find some others!

I am a senior citizen and would like to know if you can reach people in New Jersey, Union County preferable that are able to do this, and would like to start a club where we can all learn from each other

Exactly John! Just like with feeding it to worms then feeding the worms to the fish. With that one extra step he goes from feeding the fish something that is not good for them to feeding them what they eat in the wild.
